A fast and gentle method

Laser therapy is a modern, minimally invasive method for treating haemorrhoids. This technique uses a precise laser beam to selectively seal the blood vessels supplying the haemorrhoids, leading to their shrinkage, necrosis, and gradual healing.

How is the procedure performed?

The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis, does not require anaesthesia, and takes approximately 20 minutes. The patient is positioned in a lithotomy (gynaecological) position, while the doctor uses ultrasound guidance to identify the arteries supplying the haemorrhoid. Ultrasound also allows real-time monitoring of the procedure and immediate assessment of the effectiveness of vessel closure.

Advantages of laser therapy

  • Painless procedure
No pain is typically felt during or after the procedure.
  • Quick return to normal activities
No sick leave is required, and patients can return to their daily routine immediately.
  • Minimal risks
Compared to traditional surgical methods, the risk of complications and pain is minimal.
  • Effective results
Haemorrhoids shrink rapidly after the procedure and heal completely, providing a long-term solution to the problem.

Results and recovery

Healing and symptom improvement occur quickly after the procedure, without the need for special care or prolonged recovery. The effects are almost immediate, and apart from short rest on the following day, no special precautions are usually required.

At our clinic, we provide care beyond the scope of services covered by public health insurance. The fee for a one-time consultation, including examination and discussion of the procedure, is CZK 2,500. You can find our full price list here.
