What does the procedure involve?
This treatment involves laser therapy of dilated and prolapsed venous plexuses in the anal region, leading to their gradual reduction and resorption over the following 8 weeks. Laser treatment of haemorrhoids promotes a natural regression of haemorrhoidal tissue instead of surgical excision, as in conventional surgery.
At the same time, external haemorrhoids and perianal skin tags (mariscae) may also be treated by excision and closure with absorbable sutures.
Before the procedure, it is necessary to fast from midnight. On the evening prior to the procedure (approximately 3 hours after dinner), a saline enema must be administered.
At our clinic, we provide care beyond the scope of services covered by public health insurance. The fee for a one-time examination, including consultation regarding the procedure, is CZK 2,500. You can find our full price list here.
