Efektivní a šetrná léčba hemoroidů
What is Barron ligation?
Barron ligation is a minimally invasive method for treating haemorrhoids using elastic rubber bands. These bands are placed at the base of the haemorrhoidal node, cutting off its blood supply and leading to its necrosis. The procedure is highly effective and provides rapid relief from symptoms.
How is the procedure performed?
The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis and does not require any preparation or hospitalisation. The patient lies on their back with the lower limbs flexed and abducted, and an anoscope is inserted into the anal canal. Through the anoscope, rubber bands are applied to the haemorrhoidal nodes. The procedure is relatively painless, as it is performed in areas without sensitive nerve endings.
What to expect after the procedure
After the procedure, you may feel mild pressure or discomfort, which usually resolves quickly. The haemorrhoids gradually undergo necrosis and are naturally expelled from the body within a few days. Mild bleeding may occur, which is a normal part of the tissue necrosis process. It is recommended to rest and avoid strenuous physical activity for several days after the procedure.
